Travis Barron

Herschel Shelton, one of my cousins, identified the shorter man on the right (pictured above) as Travis Barron, twin brother of Milam Barron Travis and Milam were the twin sons of Thomas Hudson Barron and his first wife. Milam died while returning home from serving the Confederacy during the Civil War, and Travis died 15 Nov 1891. No one alive today ever knew either one of them. Please note the dark mole above Travis' right eye -- this may have been a family trait as the unidentified woman seated in the middle also has a dark mole above her right eye. Travis' brother, "Bud" Barron, is the taller man on the left with the pipe in his mouth. Some state that Milam Barron's military records indicate that he was 5' 1" tall while others claim he was 5' 11" tall, but whatever the truth may be one naturally assumes that Travis could have been the same height. And at least one source claims that Milam had black hair and hazel eyes. No one seems to know if Milam and Travis Barron were identical twins, but if they both had black hair then neither man identified as Travis Barron, (pictured above or below), was Travis Barron. Jesse James aka James L. Courtney

The face of the man pictured above has been identified by several groups of facial identification experts as being my great-grandfather, Jesse James AKA James L. Courtney. His face matches my great-grandfather's face in other known family photos of him, and it also matches the face of the most famous photo of Jesse James alive. This explains why my detractors appear to be so very threatened by this picture and choose to ignore the experts opinions, continuing to publicly claim that this is actually a picture of Travis Barron, Jesse James AKA James L. Courtney's brother-in-law. Please note that the man pictured below does not have a dark mole over his right eye as the man identified as Travis Barron in the Barron family group photo did.
